DMBlive Vol. 30

This is a great 1995 show, with outstanding performances of SEEK UP, TRIPPING, TRUE, JIMI, NANCIES, WAREHOUSE, and ANTS. #41 is still quirky at this stage; it's such a mind fuck that the song existed around the time of Red Rocks, which in my mind it didn't. I love the WHAT WOULD fake, and all the jokes leading up to it. On the lows, Boyd is very, very rough at the end of an otherwise exceptional NANCIES, and Dave makes some let's say questionable vocal choices during the all-solo encore of CHRISTMAS and TWO STEP (hardly my favorite performances of either). But the absolute best part of this show is that it's the best place official release to hear Stefan, better even than LT3 and LT31. I absolutely love how prominent he is; thanks, house acoustics! With so much competition for 1995, it's hard to rate this higher than a 1 (the downside of Stefan being prominent is plenty of other things are difficult to hear, e.g., Dave's guitar during SAY BYE).
