DMBlive Vol. 9

This show gives Red Rocks a run for its money; in my opinion it isn’t quite at the same level, but it’s darn close. Along with LT60, it’s one of my three favorite shows from 1995. Normally we talk about great runs; well, this entire show is one great, big run. SEEK UP is explosive, one of my favorite-ever performances of the song. The energy really doesn’t let up, except maybe during DON’T BURN THE PIG, which is the low point of the show for me (sorry, X!), especially knowing what the song ultimately became. WATCHTOWER is an absolutely unhinged performance; Carter, Stefan, and Roi tear it up. At only 1:51 of total song time, the show flies by—which is fine, because it’s even easier to listen to it again!
