It's not a great set and it isn’t my favorite era of the band (too metal), but something about this show works as a complete listen. Dave's voice is strong, Carter's playing is on point, and the mix is solid. SQUIRM is an absolute banger of a performance, as is DIE TRYING, both typical of the tour. I would take both at every show. This is what BLACKJACK should have remained: a moody instrumental. On the other hand, songs like WAREHOUSE, ONE SWEET, and SATELLITE sound like took an 8-Ball, and Dave noticeably flubs both STAY and TWO STEP (although the jam on the latter is solid). Will I return to his release? Maybe. Will I return to it often? Probably not. It's a below-average Summer 2010 show (certainly inferior to LT22 and LT28), but still worth a listen, especially if you were there as I was.
