This is certainly a notable show, being the rarest of the tour and the longest single-set show in recorded history. And there are some aspects of it that I really, really like. The one-two combination of LITTLE THING and FUNNY THE WAY is a punchy start. SHOTGUN is an energetic post-2006 performance. MINARETS and JIMI are both strong, mid-set highlights. The peak of this show is the RHYME > DREAMING TREE > RAVEN run, with Stanley Jordan giving extra lift to the first two. TYPICAL and TWO STEP are also great. But—and here's where I knock the show down by one point—there's a lot of filler that I think is good but not great. Ten minutes of LOVING WINGS is at least three minutes too many for you. YOU & ME is never going to be a favorite, but I find it particularly lackluster in this show. The SO MUCH > TOO MUCH > GAUCHO run is fine, but not more than that. And then you have the encore which just feels a bit disjointed. I will say that I revisit the show semi-often, so it's clearly better than a 1 out of 3; I just don't think it rises to 3 out of 3.
