This show was performed only four days after LT47. Each show included 16 songs, 11 of which were the same (and people complained about repetitive setlists in 2024!). And yet, this has a completely different feel to LT47. It's a good show, although nowhere near the level of LT47, nor LT17. Highlights for me are TYPICAL (arguably one of the better performances of the song ever), JIMI (both Roi and Dave have great solos), MINARETS, TOO MUCH (lots of funky things going on in it), and LEAVE ME PRAYING. On the less positive side of things, the end jam for TWO STEP is unfocused; it keeps trying to build but not going anywhere, and then it ends abruptly. DRIVE is pretty poor for Summer 1997. I love Bela on CRASH, but Dave’s voice is rough AF. There are so many great crowd mixing decisions on this release (“Boyd, take your shirt off!”), including some of the stage banter. I want to love it, but the truth is I don’t; it’s “a strong run or two but otherwise average,” especially for the dynamite Summer 1997 tour.
