I think I've figured out why we've gotten so many 2010 releases. It really was a sweet spot where there was a good rotation of songs (at least in my opinion), Dave's voice sounded great (with a few exceptions), Boyd was good more often than not, the horns were in the pocket, and clearly they have pristine recordings. The sound quality of this release is up there with LT3 and LT66; coupled with there being no major performance flubs automatically puts it in the upper echelon of LT releases for me. Many of the performances are spot-on, too; my favorites from this release are SQUIRM, BARTENDER, PIG, HANDS OF GOD, MAKER, JTR, EH HEE, LIE IN, and SOME DEVIL. It doesn't come close to LT22—that show was truly an all-timer—and it's also a hair behind LT28, which has the stronger setlist even if the performances might be a tad less good.
