Night 1 is an average show with moments of greatness (or at least, very goodness) mixed in. IDEA OF YOU, BACK YOU UP, MAKER, DOWN BY THE, JIMI, and EVERYDAY are the highlights for me. BACK YOU UP is an all-time great performance of the song IMO. HUNGER, DREAMGIRL, and BAYOU are all strong performances of below-average songs. I also liked STAY—I'll never say no to it as a closer. The low points were the first four songs in the set (especially TIME OF THE; I remember it as the start of the cover craze), CRUSH (I can't believe I'm saying that, but it just didn't hit), and WHAT YOU ARE (which I typically like but feel was a really poor encore closer on this night).
