The Complete Weekend on the Rocks Night 2

This show is mostly a lot of meh. SEEK UP, CRASH, BEST, AM. BABY, and TWO STEP are all very strong, and HUNGER, SMOOTH RIDER, and LOUISIANA are pretty poor. Most of the rest is meh. I would further divide meh into two categories: meh because there are much better performances to listen to (ONE SWEET, DON'T DRINK, RHYME, HELLO AGAIN, and TRIPPING), and meh because the performances themselves are mediocre (#34, JIMI, BLACKBIRD, STEADY, TRIPPING, and WHERE ARE YOU). I'm sure I'll catch heat for calling this #34 meh, but look... Boyd and Roi are not in sync with one another or the rhythm section. It's all just a jumble. BLACKBIRD has elements I really like, but it also kind of bops around without as much focus as it deserves (unsurprising since they winged it a few weeks earlier and only played in three times in total). Even the top performances from this show aren't mind-blowing; taken together with the meh, it explains my rating.
