Each night of this 4-night stand was better than the last, culminating in this beauty of a release. No 2005 show is ever going to rise to HC level—there’s too much Stand Up for that—but this is darn good. All the performances are somewhere between good and great. No BTCS songs, but no problem. RECENTLY is an awesome opener, with everything in sync. There’s a case to be made that this show has the single-best performances (at least officially released ones) of EVERYBODY WAKE UP, OLD DIRT HILL, HUNGER, AM. BABY INTRO (this is a near certainty IMO; Roi’s sax work takes the song to the next level), BAYOU (ditto; Randolph kills it), and SMOOTH RIDER, a meaningful chunk of the Stand Up album. DREAMGIRL is also very good, especially the prelude with Butch’s keys and Stefan’s noodling, although I still think there are better examples from 2013. While not on the level of 12/13/2000 with Warren, EXODUS is a real treat nonetheless. DRIVE, TYPICAL, and JIMI are all very strong. EVERYDAY is solid if unremarkable. Finally, TOO MUCH is a great capstone to this show and 4-night stand. Rated 3 on a scale of -1 to 3.
